Re: Is Creo the right tool for us?

If you're looking for computational fluid dynamics (CFD), Creo does not offer this capability with their analysis and simulation software.  We have CATIA, NX, Creo, SolidEdge, Solidworks, StressCheck, and ANSYS.  Can you believe that?  Yes, here at MCAS Cherry Point, NC, we have that many versions.  NX (everthing of NX) was given to us for a 18 month trial period, and our organization just spent over $1M for CATIA.  I've been learning NX for the past couple of weeks, and what I don't like about it, is that it uses boolean operations to remove material, I mean, how out-dated is that (not that there is really anything wrong with it).

So what you're looking for is modeling and then CFD on those models.  NX and CATIA both have CFD, and it is probably fully intergrated with the CAD side of the house.  Compare the cost of 4 licenses between the two companies, CATIA and NX, with only the modules you need.  Either one would meet your needs.
