Unfortunately the basic dimension does need to be there becasue the holes have a geometric tolerance associated with them, but yes removing it does indeed align them correctly! I suppose as a last resort it could just sketch a box around the dim but I really don't want to be doing that! And it would be at the height of the 280 so the box would cut the dimension line.
My text orientation options are disabled, any idea why?
