No need to be sorry, Viswanathan. I use to program many years ago and I am very happy that I do not need to do this any more. I am certain you have a good reason to use this script. I hope you can make it work as expected.
Hi Viswanathan,
What would you like to achieve with your script. I've got a ton of experience writing and tweaking startup scripts. What would you like to do with them? If you don't need to do anything special, you can just use the standard files that come with Creo. They only start to come in handy when you need to do something special.
For instance, at my job, we have a "company-wide" config.pro and config.sup file that's maintained by me and the other support administrators. We needed a way that we would make a change and have it instantly "pushed out" to all users without having everyone loading Creo off a single server. By using a startup script, we're able to put those files into the hands of our users each time they launch Creo.
We have expanded our startup script so that we can now offer upgrades to users when they launch Creo. If they're not running the latest version, they can be prompted to upgrade. We haven't deployed this yet but it's an example of what you can do with a startup script.
What particular things would you like to do? I'll be happy to help.
Thanks!
-Brian
I was only teasing. I'm a bit punchy after 9 hours on a plane cramped into the corner seat.
I'm pretty sure your message pinpointed the problem ... I think it was the double backslashes!
Hi Brain
I am much pleasure to say about my script and why I need that.
We have customers worldwide, we are working in different projects, with different setting files so I analyased about launch script from another software in my office, so I planned, why not in pro-e? And started to working with that few months ago.
Actually I finished my B.E.Mechanical Engineering on 2012, and past 1 year am working in an a MNC network, i am child to working field and am trying to develop myself anything new, Because always knowledge is wealth, May script was found earlier, but now only am working on it due to lack of my knowledge.
Why i said this above short story, to know you that i am kid on working field.
Let me come to point,
That i have an basic idea of my script, May be you already well known think so after you reading my scripting idea.
Actually in script i need somethings to be default like
1.Assigning project
2.Assigning library
3.Assigning Templates
4.Assigning linestock file
5.Assigning configuration related to project
6.Assigning sonfig.sup
7.Assigning Working directory.
8.Assigning config.dtl file
9.spliting floating license to user.
10.Deleting trail file,purge, .inf,,.SEQ file, XML documents,.idx,.m_p file.
that's it. i need to create script like this Mr.Brain. If you have any example of basics about scripting for pro-e, Please mail me to this id visusmailbox@gmail.com
Thanks & regards

Hi Antonius Dirriwachter
I have said about one of my launch script , please view it and help it out. is't possible or not?
Thanks and Regards

I've got a lot of Useful information and Fresh knowledge about your post. Thanks!
give us some more details pls.
Hi Everyone,
I am looking to get information and data regarding the costs and pain points of moving from one cad package to another for a study I am doing.
If anyone has done this recently and has data that they would be willing to share that would be great.
I'm looking for data about the following: -
User Adoption - how long was it until your users become as efficient as the previous cad package
User Training - How much training
Data Migration - How long did it take for your data sets to be upto data and how large were they
Did you use Professional services
Estimated ROI and Actual ROI (can put as % if $ value not allowed)
Any other relevant information
If any of you are willing to share this information that would be fantastic as the more I can get the more thorough my report will be. If you would rather not post the information then please send it directly to ccollinson@dek.com
If any of you are going to PTC Live next week and would be able to catch up and discuss this then please e-mail me ccollinson@dek.com
Thanks in advance to all

Warp would help but you don't have that in WF 4, right?
What if you created 1 coil and patterned them from an "offset" center?
I have a user that would like to get a BOM report that essentially looks like a org chart done in Visio. I've shown him how simple it is to get a fully nested / indented BOM. However he prefers a more graphical chart to print out and mark up as a tool to track changes, work he's completed, and what he has left to do etc. Is there a report in Windchill OOTB or something easily configured that can generate this?
Windchill 10 M030
Pro/E Wildfire 4 M220
Thanks,
Erik
??Absolutely not sure what the question is. What should X be? Ther term for x from the first example??
As Alan pointed out, the second system will not have a unique solution. If it has no solution at all or an infinite number of solutions depends on the rank of the extended matrix. If its 3, we will have no solution, if its 2 there is an infinite number of solutions. The latter case is for X=(sqrt(2)-1)*(a+b).
Mathcads result is inaccurate and misleading, but MC can do better using "fully":
Correct, no warp here !
Are you saying just model 1 'ring' and pattern it so I'd have a pattern of canted rings rather than a continuous spring?
Thanks
Dear all,
I have a drawing and want the dimensions in the architectural units.
I have already configure it with dim_fraction_format and value as aisc
but when it measured the entity it does not show the architectural units.
I am doing some thing worng but didnot what?
In short how to make architectural units in drawing pro/e creo 1
Regards,
Hi,
I'm trying to create a "custom" drill cycle for a gun drilling application on my NH4000 Horizontal. This requires a the gun drill to enter a counter bore with the spindle off, then fire up the spindle and coolant, feed to depth, feed out to counter bore area, stop spindle, retract to cleanance plane, move to next hole and repeat. I was wondering if anyone has had to create a similar tool path and if so, how? I'm under pressure for these parts and will end up hand coding to get it done, but would much rather have a clean file for any future revisions or reposts. Thanks,
Matt.
Correct. I recommend using the geometry pattern. In the longrun, it has the same efficiency on the GPU and probably faster on the regens. Long sweeps of circles are really high overhead on the system.
Exactly. I can tell you that using creo and Windchill vs. WF4 and Intralink has slowed us down tremendously. Dwgs take 2-4 times as long to do, at a minimum, and you can probably say 2-10 times as long for windchill to vault files.....IF it decides to work at all. Oh, and did I mention we lose Intralink was a direct vaulting system run through you network. Windchill uses the internet (Dumbest. Idea. EVER!) so now you have all that garbage to deal with. Gee, I have a great idea, lets run a data vaulting system through the most unstable network of all....... You'll get Java script errors, internet explorer errors, maybe Firefox errors. There is such an inbred compatibility that all these different softwares at all different rev levels must work perfectly with each other just for it to work. It's a nightmare because, well, they DON'T.
Caveat emptor......
Erik,
I see that you are on Windchill 10.0 - but maybe the easiest is an update to 10.1 where there is the Relationship Explorer: http://communities.ptc.com/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/38-2227-30209/Easily+view+interconnected+product+information+with+the+Relationship+Explorer.png
Since this is a new feature don't expect something too polished regarding printing etc. But depending on the size of your BOMs I guess a screenshot or two might do the job.
Cheers,
Jorn
